and how to meaure them. its good or not

One difference I know is the polarity. In an NPN transistor, a current flowing from the base to the emitter causes a larger current to flow from the collector to the emitter. In a PNP transistor, a current flowing from the emitter to base causes a large current to flow from the emitter to the collector.

Basically, a 'low' voltage level on the base of a PNP transistor switches it on where as a 'high' voltage level on the base of a NPN transistor switches it on.
