If you are looking for a wound coil instead of the former, then the below company can help...

http://www.modecomponents.co.uk/

Go down the page to TOKO Coils, frequencies are given too.

@ant
Thanks for your kind offer - I have two old formers taken from a TV so I am ok. I am sure I will start on a second or third prototype and so I was going to lay in a stock.

I looked at Maplin/RS/Rapid - they only have prewound stuff. Iused to get my coils from Cirkit/Ambit no problem, but winding your own coils must be a thing of the past.

thanks again guys

Can I ask a further question -

I am building an experimental receiver for 144Mhz, narrow band (15khz) FM using MC3362.

There is a 455khz demodulation coil specified as a 10ez rmc 2a6597. I'm having trouble finding it. Can I just use a 455khz coil with a 15khz bandwidth? It needs an internal 180pF cap, but I can find plenty containing the cap.

I am happy to play around with this, but I would like to know if I am doing something stupid and just wasting my time.
