Hello all,

I have one of those useful little propelling-brushes which takes either a brass wire brush or a stranded glass brush. Excellent for cleaning things like PCBs and, yesterday, my razor - normally I use a small nailbrush.

Even before I took the brush into the bathroom I managed to get a piece of glass bristle stuck in my thumb - needless to say it can't be seen or removed but it doesn't half sting when one eats an orange! And hurts when touched if using that thumb.

I'm sure there must be a way to load the brush without handling it or damaging it as pliers would...

Regards Ant

I use the brass wire inserts, they don't itch so much...

Yep I've done that, took me ages to dig it out my finger. :-(

Good - others have suffered as well.
Thought it was just me.

Was using one yesterday (a Gunsons one) to clean some battery contacts, I hate the thing because of the skin irritation. I use a brass wire brush in my Dremel the rest of the time.
