Just tried to do a project using 16F628A. When it failed I worked through the archives and found postings in 2005 about this. Has there been an update that I missed, or is there a workaround?

My 1st program from TEACH-IN 2008 fails to load.

The hardware passes the tests on the TK3 progeam but the PIC 16F628 fails to respond.

Organist, Teach In is written for an ordinary
PIC16F628 and not a PIC16F628A. I dont recall ever making TK3 handle the 'A' type as different programming routines are needed when assembling.

Thanks John ... Mine are PIC 16F628-04 ... I was trawling the site because I get " PIC not responding " when I try to load the first TEACH-IN 2008 program . As this is the first time using this Software/Hardware it is probably something I am doing wrong that "everyone knows about" except the person doing this for the first time .... Hardware seems to repond correctly to the TK3 tests .... Hope to get it right sometime then I can learn about the code !!!

Thanks John for confirming that the 628A cannot work with the TK3 - just what I was looking for with my original posting.
