I loved the and-goat. I went ahead and bought the design ( £2.95 ).

You get an 11 page pdf, with clear instructions and colour templates.

I'm going off to print it out and have a go!

Nanny Gates indeed. No wonder logic "foxes" me, when I cannot "ferret" out the problem, etc...

I would guess that in the and-goat configuration the "inactive" keys each hold the head "high", so that both need to be depressed to allow the head to go "low", whereas in the or-goat the depressed keys pull the head "low".

How about a Cow and-gate?
