In the process of battling with microchips new-fangled tools and the PIC 10F322,which has a wierd hybrid of 10F and 16F features;i have ended up developing a warning flasher\bike light prototype, after being asked sooo many times to make one...
despite telling people it can't be done as cheaply as already available el-chaepo ones;by the time you have made a weatherproof enclosure and power source...but hey ho!
here it are:-
i don't see it wiping PETZL out of business!
the schematic is the same as the Microchip 10F322 dem board minus the pot, which works on 5V.
The pinouts in the (commented)code are for the DIL package(the original uses the SOT23-6 SMD part who's pin-numbering is wacky..)
its a simple piece of code with 2 routines selected by a switch:-one a normal 2-lights alternately blinking, and another 2-lights alternately strobing, with a low duty-cycle to reduce current drain.
the timing has been tweaked (ad infinitum!)to give balanced brightness between the 2 LED's.
it could be tweaked to include sleep/power down features and save even more power.
there's plenty of space left as it uses just 17% of the available program memory.
If you dont have Oshonsoft (trial version,or full),the assembly and hex files are zipped in the file,so you're good to go! an ideal project for dark winter nights.
EDIT:- the file is a 7-Zip 'zipped' one which for some reason is labelled as an .UNK by the forum software!?
